Concert is a concert of the imagination. A play that dreams of being a musical performance. The work moves from a collection of dreams of friends and relatives, transcribed and transformed into songs and performance materials, with the idea of building a chorus of forces, voices and images bordering on paradox that dialogue in an absurd concert in perpetual change.
Concert as musical performance but also as a sharing of elements employed in the same purpose: the pursuit of a song, or perhaps an identity, in other people’s dreams and words.
On stage, two performers, like clowns who have come from afar, try their hand at a task beyond their limits, attempting to fulfill their own dream of being singers for the time of a show.
Different individual dreams as parts of one collective dream and a question that creeps in: what ensures that when we are awake, we are not still dreaming? And that it is not the reality, and not the dream, that is unreal?
